Ignite Your Passion to End Hunger in WNC and Come Chill at this year’s Blue Jean Ball: FIRE & ICE!

This year’s ball will be held on Saturday, June 4th, 2016, from 7:00 to 11:00 PM, and our theme is FIRE & ICE! The ball will be held outside MANNA’s warehouses, along the banks of the Swannanoa River. Ticket holders enjoy tasting plates from these fantastic culinary sponsors: Ambrozia, Biltmore, Bouchon/Creperie Bouchon, Cantina at Historic Biltmore Village, Chai Pani, The Chef’s Kitchen, Chestnut, Corner Kitchen, Echoview Farm, French Broad Chocolate Lounge, GO Kitchen Ready, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, Highland Lake Inn, Lobster Trap, Mountain City Coffee Roasters, Old Europe, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Posana, Red Stag Grill, Rosetta’s Kitchen and Buchi Bar, Tupelo Honey, Twisted Laurel, and Ultimate Ice Cream. This event also features an incredible selection of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages from which to choose.

An amazing not-so-silent auction is held during the ball, with over one hundred fabulous items and packages to choose from. Vacation packages, a signed Carolina basketball, a diamond necklace, gift baskets, and restaurant packages have been among the items available to the highest bidder.

The Blue Jean Ball is MANNA’s largest fundraising event. Every dollar raised or donated to the food bank provides enough food for 3 meals. Current estimates in our region indicate that over 107,000 people in Western North Carolina don’t have continuous access to three square meals a day. MANNA partners with 229 agencies throughout our region to get food to those facing hunger. In 2015, MANNA distributed enough food to provide 36,000 meals a day throughout the 16 counties in WNC.
