People who have celiac disease or a severe gluten intolerance run the risk of adverse health effects or allergic reactions if they consume these products.
These recalled products were manufactured using Plantain Flour supplied by PMF Global, which was labelled and as certified gluten free. Independent third-party testing confirmed the plantain flour ingredient contained gluten and recalled products all tested at levels significantly exceeding the FDA’s 20 ppm, therefore containing undeclared wheat gluten.
