Here at MANNA, our work to source and provide food to people across Western North Carolina with hope and dignity is our top priority. We could not do this vital work without the commitment and support from a large number of organizations and individuals. We would like to recognize the following organizations for their support:

Appalachian Region Porsche Club of America

The Appalachian Region Porsche Club of America (ARPCA) recently presented a check to MANNA FoodBank to support our food delivery programs. This support from the members of the ARPCA is an important community investment, and helps to provide food to families across WNC. This check will provide the food for 3,900 meals. Join us in thanking the ARPCA for their partnership with MANNA, and in taking action to end hunger here in WNC.

Feeding America

Feeding America has awarded MANNA FoodBank with a grant of $27,000 to support the MANNA Food HelpLine. The Food HelpLine provides confidential, one-to-one assistance to anyone needing help signing up or recertifying for Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), North Carolina’s food stamp program. The HelpLine also assists residents in finding the closest pantries in their area, as well as referrals to other programs and services providing support. In 2015, the MANNA Food HelpLine assisted over 1,500 families in finding emergency food sources and support.

Feeding America is the nationwide network of 200 food banks that leads the fight against hunger in the United States. Together, they provide food to more than 46 million people through 60,000 food pantries and meal programs in communities across America. Feeding America also supports programs that improve food security among the people we serve; educates the public about the problem of hunger; and advocates for legislation that protects people from going hungry. Walmart Foundation

In recognition of MANNA FoodBank’s performance in reaching critical food sourcing goals through the Retail Store Donation Program, Walmart Foundation has awarded MANNA a grant of $15,000. This grant will support MANNA’s ongoing work to connect food retailers directly to our partner pantries, increasing the amount of fresh foods available to WNC families needing support, as well as helping to expand MANNA’s partners food sources.

TD Charitable Foundation

Thanks to a grant from TD Charitable Foundation, MANNA is able to kick off the MANNA Packs for Kids program just in time for the start of school. Funding for MANNA Packs is absolutely vital; every dollar donated to this program dedicated to eradicating childhood hunger goes straight to providing assistance for as many children in WNC as possible. The funding we receive for this program directly affects how many children for whom we can provide MANNA Packs throughout the school year. Our heartfelt thanks goes to TD Charitable Foundation for their $20,000 grant to support this vital program.
