Thanks to the talented potters, culinary sponsors, ticket holders, and event sponsors, the 15th Empty Bowls fundraiser has set a NEW record.
It is great pleasure, and humble gratitude, that we are pleased to announce this year’s Empty Bowls fundraiser was our most successful Empty Bowls EVER! We outpaced last year’s new record by almost 15%, and are thrilled to announce the official amount raised:
$74,577!
This will provide the food for over 220,000 meals to folks across WNC! None of this would be possible without the dedication from so many people: our Empty Bowls sponsors, the incredible Empty Bowls potters, the culinary sponsors, and of course, the 1,000+ ticket holders that attended the event. A special thanks to DoubleTree Hotel for expanding our ability to sell more tickets by hosting both the lunch and dinner events!
We would like to give a special thanks to the following, who have gone above and beyond to ensure that Empty Bowls continues to benefit all of Western North Carolina:
DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville-Biltmore
Toni Williams and the Biltmore Estate volunteers
Odyssey Center for Ceramic Arts
Jason DeCristofaro Music
Our dedicated MANNA AmeriCorp Members
The MANNA Volunteers
John Hartom and Lisa Blackburn, founders of Empty Bowls

Empty Bowls 2016 Potters
Every bowl at Empty Bowls is lovingly handmade by a local potter. Each bowl takes a lot of time and attention, and these incredible artists willingly donate their work to forward MANNA’s mission of ending hunger in Western North Carolina. Each bowl provides the food for 105 meals! The impact these artists are making in WNC is very tangible. Please help us thank the following potters for their incredible investment in our community:
