MANNA is pleased to announce that the 2014 AFP WNC selected our own Donna Ensley as Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year. AFP stands for Association of Fundraising Professionals, and for 50 years, it has been the standard-bearer for professionalism and ethics in fundraising.
Donna recognized her passion for nonprofits and the work they do through volunteer positions with PTO, Junior League, YWCA and United Way. In 1999, she began her professional development career with Sims & Steele Consulting, working on successful capital campaigns for First Presbyterian Church, Daniel Boone Council and Habitat for Humanity.
Donna has worked for MANNA FoodBank since November 2008, and the organization has undergone tremendous growth in that time, in large part due to Donna’s talents as a fundraiser. In her role as Chief Development Officer, she oversees and coordinates the development and outreach efforts including marketing, special events, direct mail, volunteer services, major donors, planned gifts and grants.
