An Award Winning Documentary
Hunger is Real: Voices of Western North Carolina, a documentary produced by MANNA and directed by Adams Wood, has been accepted to eight film festivals.
As of now, it has been shown at The North Carolina Film Festival, The Micropolitan Film Festival, Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival, Charlotte Film Festival and Full Bloom Film Festival, where it was awarded Best Short Documentary. At the ceremony, Kathleen Burns of The Giving Spoon, one of our wonderful partners who is featured in the documentary, was in attendance to accept the award on the behalf of Adams.
Hunger is Real still has a few more film festival screenings coming up in the near future. The documentary will be screened at Raleigh Film & Art Festival, Tryon International Film Festival and Ceres Food Film Festival.
