A Party for a Purpose
We’re thrilled to be hosting the 20th annual Blue Jean Ball this coming Saturday, June 8, 2019! The event is sold out – no tickets will be available at the door.
For Ticket Holders:
We are thrilled you will be our guest for Saturday’s biggest “party for a purpose” in WNC! Below is some important information for you to have the best possible Blue Jean Ball experience.
PARKING
General admission parking is at the WNC Nature Center at 75 Gashes Creek Road. Shuttle buses will be running continuously from this location to MANNA’s campus throughout the event, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Please allow plenty of time for parking and taking the shuttle. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.
If you need handicap parking, please contact Libby Barker at 828-299-3663 ext. 1238 or LBarker@MANNAFoodBank.org, immediately.
There is no public parking on the MANNA premises or anywhere along Swannanoa River Road. Anyone parking outside designated event parking is subject to being towed, ticketed, or both.
WHAT TO WEAR
This year’s theme is an easy one for anyone who enjoys dressing to an occasion, and prizes will be awarded for great outfits! FOODSTOCK is our nod to the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. (The theme-related costume contest is just for fun—feel free to participate or not!) We embrace everything from blue jeans to ball gowns, as the Blue Jean Ball name infers, so dress to your interpretation of a great night out.
WEATHER
The Blue Jean Ball is held outdoors, under large tents so dress to your comfort for the forecasted weather. The forecast does look like rain, and while the majority of the space will be under tents, there will be areas exposed to the elements, so please plan your umbrella or rain gear accordingly.
IDs are REQUIRED
Because the beer and wine bar is included in the ticket price, all ticket holders must be 21 and over. Anyone planning to drink at the event will be required to present a valid photo ID to receive a wristband.
Be prepared to have a great time! We will see you Saturday.
Peace Out!
