Feeding Children: Youth Programs
There are more than 38,000 children in Western North Carolina who rely on free school meals during the school year. When school is not in-session during the weekend or over the summer, many of these children do not have enough to eat.
MANNA FoodBank is committed to ensure that they do. Our youth-focused initiatives currently include:
- MANNA Packs, our weekend backpack program
- Summer Packs, our summer feeding program
- School pantries, our student choice markets
What can you do?
Donate. Give a gift to ensure students have enough to eat at school and beyond.
Volunteer. Help keep the program moving forward by volunteering to pack or deliver food to students.
Advocate. Use your voice to advocate for families struggling to afford groceries. Support strong school meal programs in your community.
With your help, we can keep feeding children year round.
