More important info (please share with all in your party):

Q. Where do I park?
A. Please note that THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC PARKING ON THE MANNA PREMISES or anywhere along Swannanoa River Road. Park in the Asheville Recreation Park parking lot, located off Swannanoa River Road just east of MANNA. Staff members will be present to assist you in parking and locating the shuttle stop. Shuttle vehicles will be making continual runs between the Rec Park and MANNA, and a guest drop-off lane will be available at the Ball entrance. Please, for the safety of you and your vehicle, do not attempt to park or walk along Swannanoa River Road. There are no shoulders or sidewalks, and it is particularly hazardous in the dark. If you need handicap parking, give us a call by Thursday, June 5 to make arrangements.

Q. Why should I bring my ID?
A. If you plan to drink beer or wine, please help us abide by the law by bringing your ID. We’ll be using a wristband system so you’ll have to show your ID only once upon arrival. Plenty of non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

Q. What about tickets and nametags?
A. All Blue Jean Ball guests are required to have a nametag. Please check in at the Will-Call tables upon arrival to pick up your nametag. Your table assignment, if applicable, is printed in the upper left-hand corner of your nametag, and your four-digit number for bidding in the Silent Auction is in the upper right. Before you leave, please fill out the back of the nametag with your contact info and deposit your nametag and holder in the boxes located at the shuttle bus stop. All who turn in their filled-out nametags are eligible to win a pair of tickets to next year’s Blue Jean Ball.

Q. Is my event admission tax-deductible?
A. For every ticket you purchase, $35 is considered a charitable contribution and is tax-deductible as allowed by law. Please call 828-299-3663 ×238 if you need documentation for tax purposes.

Q. What should I wear?
A. This year’s theme is “Bling It On,” so wear your favorite blue jeans (bedazzling optional) or your most creatively sparkling attire-and yes, there will be prizes! Also, please keep in mind that all Blue Jean Ball activities will be outside, so please dress for the weather and bring an umbrella if the weather forecast indicates.

Q. What is the not-so-silent auction?
A. Our silent auction is frequently the talk of the town, so it’s hard to say it is truly silent. Just have a look at some of the items and businesses that have contributed . However, in the tradition of silent auctions, guests will be allowed to bid on items throughout the evening at their discretion.
