Every year on Thanksgiving, many of us retreat to the warmth of our homes with family or friends. Many of us spend the day mingling in abundance and reminding ourselves of how grateful we are for our bounty.
At MANNA FoodBank, we are all grateful for the additional bounty you have helped provide more than 1 in 6 of our neighbors in Western North Carolina who struggle to regularly put food on their tables. Because of you, they have more to be thankful for.
Whether you attended or sponsored the Blue Jean Ball, which raised more than $115,000 or you helped with our Empty Bowls events generating in excess of $43,000 or you were one of the dozens of students in the MANNAfest Student Food Drive collecting and donating 73,000 pounds of food, or any other of our donors, volunteers, stakeholders, we thank you.
Because of you, we have met many goals this year. Because of you, the increased need confronting 231 of our partner agencies has been met. Because of you, our elected officials know that you care and are holding them accountable for their actions on behalf of everyone in Western North Carolina, not just a few.
Because of you, MANNA FoodBank and our partner agencies are better able to handle these interesting times facing us right now and in the days and months to come.
