Food Lion hosts Hunger Has a Cure

From April 28 – May 11, 2010 Food Lion and their banner stores of Bloom, Bottom Dollar Food, and Reid’s will be offering shoppers the opportunity to support Feeding America and local food banks. As part of “Hunger Has A Cure”, consumers may purchase $3 or $1 scan tags at the register.
A minimum of $100,000 will be donated through this promotion. 25% of funds will be directed toward the Feeding America national office and 75% of funds will be distributed among the benefitting food banks. For food banks, the amount of donations collected in your area will influence the final donation allocated to your food bank.
